Mountain States Urogynecology
Mountain States Urogynecology is a multi-disciplinary medical practice with three locations in Colorado that integrates traditional therapies, physical therapy and treatment, and complementary therapies for the complete care of urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse and most other gynecologic and pelvic floor disorders. We focus exclusively on the health care needs of women and the effective treatment of these conditions. Mountain States Urogynecology is a leading-edge facility, fully equipped with all the tools necessary to diagnose and treat urinary incontinence and pelvic floor disorders accurately.
The field commonly recognized as Urogynecology officially became board certified in 2013. Dr. Robert Hammer and Dr. Andrew McBride are among only a few providers in the region now boarded in this subspecialty. Urogynecologists treat a wide variety of disorders of the pelvic organs including urinary and fecal incontinence, uterovaginal prolapse, pain, recurrent urinary tract infection and voiding, bowel and sexual dysfunction. The two most common conditions we treat – prolapse and incontinence – are common, with studies demonstrating a significant impact on quality of life. Despite the high prevalence of these disorders, only 10 to 20 percent of patients with these disorders seek care for their symptoms, some because of embarrassment and some because they do not know with whom to speak. The good news is that treatment options are available, most of which are office-based or minimally invasive. Our goal in treatment is to restore the form and function of the pelvic organs.
The services and diagnosis you receive at Mountain States Urogynecology include individualized treatment and personalized care. Your first visit involves an initial evaluation including your detailed history, along with an examination. After a complete evaluation, Dr. Hammer or Dr. McBride will provide you with options to treat your condition.
